About this Study

MnDOT, the City of Worthington and Nobles County have initiated a public engagement process to create a long-term vision in the community as part of the US 59 Worthington Corridor Study. The study is being conducted in preparation of a future urban reconstruction project (reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalk areas to include potential improvements to the landscaping, bicycle and pedestrian features, road lanes, crosswalks, sidewalks, etc.) in Worthington, which will include the following segments:

  • US 59 (Humiston Avenue) from I-90 to Oxford Street
  • County Highway 35 (Oxford Street) from McMillan to Humiston Avenue
  • US 59 (Oxford Street) from Humiston Avenue to the Minnesota Highway 60 (MN 60) roundabout

The purpose of the US 59 Worthington Corridor Study is to:

  • Create a long-term and common vision for the reconstruction of US 59
  • Support and sustain economic development
  • Safely accommodate all modes of transportation
  • Encourage pedestrian and bicycle movements
  • Build consensus and create support from the community

Be a part of creating this vision by participating in upcoming public engagement opportunities.
